Austin, Texas (SXSW) .. Long story short, we had a great time in Texas, and met a lot of dope rappers like A$AP, Kendrick Lamar, Freddie Gibbs, etc. Unfortunately we did not get to perform this year due to schedule conflicts (Finals week happened to be the week of our show). All in all, it was still a great opportunity and we found it necessary to make the trip anyway. Enjoy the footage!

Yizzo! I’ve been following CG for a few years now, and I must say his journey through music has been interesting. I absolutely LOVED his Black and Purple tape. Even liked his second tape. But ever since, his flows have been kinda hit or miss with me. No doubt, he’s one of the best underground rappers I’ve ever witnessed. Just wish he’d take more time perfecting his songs and push the limits with his lyrics. 

Enough with the introductions. On to the new tape, “Champloo.” The production is definitely coming from the more hip hop end of the “Hip Hop/Rap Spectrum” as I like to call it. I was nodding my head until my neck was sore. It had its strong points (production, some nice flows) and its weaknesses (seemingly not enough time spent on some songs).
